Welcome to Tameside Fibromyalgia & CFS Support. This website has been set up to provide information, support and advice to Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue sufferers and their families. The website is in its very early stages and we plan to add more information as we go along. |
The Tameside FM & CFS Support group started as an 'idea' in spring 2011 and things moved very quickly from there, we are now established with a lovely group of people and more joining us all of the time. High Peak FM & ME/CFS have just celebrated their 5th Birthday and are a well established and popular group who welcome new members and input into the group. If you want to know what to expect at a meeting then please see our groups page for more information! |

*DR PERRIN'S VISIT*
We have invited Dr Perrin to come & speak for us, this will take place on 22nd March 2012 at 6:45pm at The Roecross Inn, Roe Cross Road, Mottram in Longdendale, SK14 4SD. If you would like to attend please contact Diane so she has an idea of numbers.
The Perrin Technique is based on Dr Perrin's theory that different stress factors whether physical, allergies, emotional or infections lead to an overstrain of the sympathetic nervous system. Further investigation has led to a probable cause of this nervous system overload being a build up of toxins in the fluid around the brain and the spinal cord. Some of the poisons caused by infection or inflammation in the head or spine flow through perforations in a bony plate (the cribriform plate) just above the nasal sinuses into the lymph ducts of the face and neck. The toxins are also meant to drain down the spinal cord and out into the lymph ducts lying along the spine. In a CFS/ME sufferer these normal drainage points are congested. http://www.theperrinclinic.com/
Look forward to seeing some of you there!!
